The Databecsecond half of "Yellowstone" Season 5, the conclusion of TV's number one show featuring Kevin Costner's John Dutton, has officially moved to November 2024, the Paramount Network announced Thursday.

The network that has brought the successful series "1923" and "1883," also announced two spinoff series from producer Taylor Sheridan, "1944" and "2024."

Set in current times, "2024" will follow the conclusion of "Yellowstone" with new locations and characters, but some crossover characters from the original series. "1944" will be a sequel to "1923," which stars Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, and a prequel to the original "Yellowstone."

In May, Paramount officially announced the end of the Kevin Costner-led "Yellowstone" original series after five seasons following the completion of the Season 5 second half, then slated for this November. However, delays due to the Hollywood dual writers' strike and ongoing actors' strike have prompted the new finale date for next year.

'I'm disappointed''Yellowstone' creator Taylor Sheridan finally talks Kevin Costner's exit

"We’re just getting started,” Chris McCarthy, President and CEO of Showtime & MTV Entertainment Studios said in a media release.  “On the heels of '1883' and '1923’s success, our new planned spinoffs, '1944' and '2024,' will take audiences on a thrilling, new and unexpected journey."

Costner has portrayed Yellowstone ranch owner and hard-headed patriarch John Dutton through the first half of "Yellowstone" Season 5, which ended January 1 with Dutton as Montana governor.

Long-running disagreements between the actor and creator Sheridan over schedule, pay and Costner's ambitious movie career have led to the story ending to the cornerstone character of the "Yellowstone" universe. Costner has produced, directed, co-written and stars in another epic Western, the two-part movie series "Horizon: An American Saga."

Chapter 1 will be released on June 28 the next chapter nearly two months later on August 16. The story is set over 15 years following a group of settlers and Indigenous people on America's Western frontier.
